The Observant Alternative

The alternative opinion on news, live from the journalists, media professionals people.

The beginning…

Do what? Written a blog before?! Nah mate, first time ever! WOW..what an adventure to start now he said, and to be completely fair, I don’t disagree!!

For precisely three weeks, I have sat here and pondered, and quite frankly, dithered at times in putting pen to paper – actually, I can’t stand ditherers either!

Why?

They just annoy me and they turn up and appear everywhere, it’s like they are a different breed. The worst ones are when you are trying to get out the house quickly in the morning, or when you’re late for something that had been pre-arranged, but hadn’t been pre-arranged with me in the first place!!

Anyway, I had the theory in my head that I fancied a bit of change, and not my wife just to add, but that I wanted to write and blog. I even knew what I to blog and write about as well.

I haven’t even told anyone, that I wanted to do this either – which is a little bizarre in itself!

So, off I went and called my little brother, who happens to be a bit of a whizz at all things technological and all the IT stuff! I mean, anyway, what the hell is IT?

Premier League Review – Matchday Four

Here we go then..back into it following the stupid and dull international break. Worst Team – Hard one this week, but Mikael will be pleased his Arsenal team are not in this weeks’ award ceremony! Anyway, I am going for Spurs, purely due to the fact they fell to bits like a cream cracker! Newcastle were under consideration, but they had a tough game, particularly with the CR7 impact. Best team – Liverpool went to Elland Road and were at it from the first second and played a hardworking Leeds Team off the park. Villain of the Week – The

Premier League Review – Matchday Three

Here we go then.. Worst Team – Well that’s easy enough, isn’t it? Arsenal! I had them down to sneak one in this game, but what the hell happened!? They got mullered, they didn’t even turn up and were appallingly let down by Xhaka yet again – he is so average, he makes it average look even more dull! Best team – Unfortunately, this goes to Man City, its hard to look elsewhere when they gave Arsenal a hiding. Villain of the Week – Mikael Arteta – AGAIN enough said and he is edging closer to Universal Credit. Hero of

Premier League Review – Matchday Two

Well, well, well, lets kick this weeks review off shall we? Worst Team – Arsenal, yet again, because Norwich losing at City was a foregone conclusion frankly. Arsenal, with the players they have and after being out thought and outrun by Brentford the week previous, I expected much more, but they did the opposite and well incredibly tepid yet again. Best team – Was there any performances for best team this week? City smashed Norwich, which for me, as I said above, was inevitable in my opinion – so I am going to give this weeks best team award to

Do you know what, one the greatest and funniest TV programmes on the propaganda channel, was Fawlty Towers –it was astonishingly intelligently produced and side-splitting funny. Like most men, according to their ball and chain, he never got it right, did he? Basil I am talking about – his wife was on his case continuously, never giving him a second to breathe and you can’t even say they complemented each other, can you? I often use to watch those series and think what a laugh that would be to stay somewhere as manic and as unpredictable as that – but

Holidays – Part 2

Following my part one escapade around the good old Great British Holiday, I have written a further instalment on the big and topical subject of holidays, but this latest version sees’ me discuss the ‘Great British’ abroad holiday. Lets forget the careering caravans dominating the motorways of the UK for now and give some love and attention to brits abroad and the quality of the abroad holiday. This subject actually is a bit of a mixed bag when you think about it. I mean there is no clear definition is there? Not like here in the UK, with the bottom-end

Uk Holidays

Someone asked me to write something about holidays and to give me honest opinion, specifically on some of the behaviours that exist on holidays. Truthfully, I had it on my extensive list, but its such a topical debate, it needed to be done in two parts to do it justice, but when writing it, I could have gone on and on and on and on!! Just before we begin, I have also been told, that I haven’t been inclusive in some of my content and reaching out to those that specifically don’t understand standard worded English, so just for those
